Bianca Helen Giovannelli
Bianca is a half Italian and half Scottish dancer, currently dancing with State Opera Burgas. She has danced in many international companies such as Ballet de l'Opéra de Nice (Eric-Vu-An), Cannes Jeune Ballet (Paola Cantalupo) and State Opera Ruse in addition to touring internationally with many companies including Ballet Classique de Paris.
Bianca was born in Florence, Italy, and has lived and danced in many different countries throughout her career. She graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower in Cannes (France) where she studied classical ballet, contemporary dance, theatre, music and artistic culture. Other important experiences included internships with Les Ballet de Montecarlo and Ballet de Lorraine. She also had the opportunity to study with other companies including Random Dance Company (Wayne McGregor), ZfinMalta Dance Ensemble (Mavin Khoo) and Scottish Dance Theatre.
She has performed many roles in classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoire including works by Balanchine, Jean Christophe Maillot, Preljocaj, Jiri Kylian, Marco Cantalupo, Claude Brumachon, Eric Vu-An and Francesco Ventriglia. In the past year she also had the opportunity to choreograph State Opera Ruse’s production of La Traviata and other works for various galas.
