Ellena Nou
Born in Gravesend, UK, Ellena began her dance training at the age of three. In 2004 she was accepted into White Lodge, The Royal Ballet School and then went on to study at English National Ballet School, graduating in 2013.
Throughout her training Ellena performed in productions with The Royal Ballet, including La Sylphide, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, with English National Ballet in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, My First Cinderella, and Northern Ballet in Christmas Carol, Cleopatra, and Three Little Pigs.
Miss Nou joined Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Romania in 2015 and was given the position Demi-Soloist in 2017. Here Ellena toured nationally and internationally around Europe with classical, neo-classical and contemporary roles in pieces such as: The Nutcracker (Pertutiu), Anna Karenina (Tugearu), Anotimpurile (Gardner), Swan Lake (Petipa/Ivanov), Giselle (Coralli/Perrot), Don Quixote (Petipa), Trilogy Ionesca (Fotescu), Nu Mai Sunt Eu (Drogomir), Harvest (Connor), Swaraj (Legge), Dark-ness Becomes Light (Drogomir), The Fairy Doll (Sergey/Nicolai Legat), Paquita (Mazilier). Ellena now resides in Sydney, Australia with her fiancé Samuel, freelancing as a ballet and contemporary dancer and teacher. In the last year she has danced in productions with Opera Australia: Lakmé (Livermore) and Anna Bolena (Livermore) along with Twisted Element Co: RITUAL.
