Fenella O’Neil
Fenella began dancing at age 5 with Patrina Coates of the Australian Ballet who fostered a great love of ballet in her. Fenella continued along this path and at age 15 began training with the Studio Tibor full time program where the love for dance only increased.
Fenella flourished as a young dancer, competing for two consecutive years at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix finals in New York City and was selected to attend The Washington School of Ballet’s Summer program. At 17 Fenella was invited to join Alberta Ballet in their post graduate program and in the following year, concluded her training at Classical Ballet 121 with Gilly Revie.
In 2017 Fenella moved to California to work with State Street Ballet. Whilst with the company she performed the lead role in Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, Mirlitons in The Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet. Fenella joined Oklahoma City Ballet for two seasons. Performing a wide range of repertoire include, Septime Webre’s ALICE, Robert Mill’s Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s the Four Temperaments and Robert Mill’s Romeo and Juliet.
2020 has seen Fenella return to Australia like so many others in the arts. Fenella continues to train and is involved in several exciting, independent projects as her talent and versatility shine even in these uncertain times. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for such an incredible artist!
