Laura Bailey
Born in Sydney, Laura began dancing at a young age with a local ballet studio before commencing full time training at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy.
Laura then moved to Canada to accept a position with Goh Ballet Academy and Company, Vancouver.
Laura has performed in a variety of roles over multiple productions with Sydney City Youth Ballet.
In 2015 Laura co-founded The Dancer’s Directive, a not for profit initiative which provides valuable performance opportunities for Australian and international dancers and choreographers. The Dancer’s Directive stages a bi-annual fundraiser gala event which has raised in excess of $60,000 for Spinal Injury treatment since it’s inception.
As well as dancing Laura is passionate about teaching and sharing her experiences.
Laura is especially dedicated to teaching with Ballet Workshops Australia and bringing opportunities to dancers in rural communities where the joy of dance is always so evident in the students.
