Mia Sfara

Sydney born, Mia began dancing at her local dance school exhibiting potential and passion for classical ballet at a young age. At 13 Mia was selected to participate in the Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program, which she attended for several years whilst training full time at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy. 

At just 15 Mia gained entry to the prestigious Dutch National Ballet Academy, Amsterdam, where she completed 2 years in the pre-professional training program. Whilst at the Academy Mia was chosen to dance in several works including pieces by John Neimeier. After completing her pre-professional training with Dutch National, Mia performed with the Het National Ballet in works such as Giselle, before moving to the Royal Ballet of Flanders where she performed for 2 seasons including works such as Spartacus and The Nutcracker. 

Having returned to Australia, Mia has been performing and touring with Opera Australia in their 2019 season of Il Viaggio A Reims and will commence their Sydney season in October. Mia has taught with Danceworks Sydney and brings her international dancing experience to Ballet Workshops Australia with passion and enthusiasm.
