Rennard Velasco

Rennard developed a passion for dance and movement at a young age and hasn’t stopped moving, creating and expressing since!

Rennard is a skilled performer, choreographer and teacher.

He began his training primarily as a Hip Hop dancer with some of Australia’s best Hip Hop crews, accomplishing many achievements at World’s Hip Hop International and World Supremacy Battlegrounds. 

Rennard sought to expand his dance training and versatility, this saw him gain acceptance into the full time program at ED5 International.

Having trained at ED5 International Performing Arts under the directorship of William Forsythe, Rennard received his Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts.

As a performer and choreographer Rennard has worked both in Australia and internationally in a variety of productions both live and on television. Rennard has been privileged to have performed for Justice Crew, Ciara, Chloe Dalimore and Bobby Fox, worked on the Voice - Channel Nine, the Disney Channel, Carols in the Domain alongside Paulini and Lucy Durack and many others.

Rennard teaches in various studios across multiple styles and specialises in Hip-hop. Teaching all age groups ranging from kinder to senior and adult classes, he is passionate about providing a safe and creative space for his students, training them to have the proper tools to progress along the path in their dance journeys. 

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Rennard is an exciting addition to the BWA team and will be a welcome contrast with his versatility bringing a little ‘street’ savvy in his dance language to our regional workshops!
