Ryan Ophel

Growing up on the NSW Central Coast of Australia, Ryan began dancing and developed a love of movement and music. 

Ryan spent 3 years at Lee Academy on the Central Coast graduating with his Certificate 3 and 4 in Dance and a Diploma of Musical Theatre. During his time at Lee Academy Ryan was cast in Alyssa Casey’s Primal Dance Company’s “Reflections” Touring Sydney, Port Macquarie, and the Central Coast. 

Ryan gained a position at ED5 International and moved to Sydney to pursue his dreams of a career in Musical Theatre. Graduating from ED5 International in 2017 with his Advanced Diploma Of Performing Arts, Ryan has been cast in 2 productions with Opera Austraila (Don Quichotte) and (Rigoletto) which he performed at the Sydney Opera House and Arts centre Melbourne. Ryan was also offered a place in the Australia’s Got Talent team where he went on to the finals and then the grand final. During his time at ED5, Ryan was selected to perform with industry legends and events including “The Premiere Gala Concert” performing with Chloe Dallimore and Bobby Fox, The Arnotts Gala” performing with Tim Campbell, The Carols In The Domain” performing with Paulini and Prinnie Stevens, “The Voice” and “The Footy Show” with Delta Goodrem. Ryan also features in Delta’s Video clip “Enough” Ft Gizzel. For the past year Ryan has been touring Australia, New Zealand and Singapore with Disney’s Aladdin. Now back in Australia he is excited and privileged to pass on his knowledge, skills and passion for his art form to students both in Sydney and in regional areas with the BWA team!
