dance workshops
BWA runs workshops in regional areas of Australia with the aim of bringing dance to you in an accessible and inclusive way. Our workshops are open to all experience and ability levels for adults and children.
We offer something for everyone in a creative and supportive learning environment with levels varied to best suit each individual.
All of our teachers are experienced dancers and teachers both in Australia and internationally with an enthusiastic approach and a genuine passion for sharing what we have learned ourselves.
At the conclusion of each workshop we hold a showcase for family friends, where we share some of what we have worked on during the workshop and present certificates and a few encouragement awards from our generous sponsors.
Illawarra Region NSW
15-17th April
We are excited to announce that in collaboration with Wollongong Conservatorium of Music we will be holding our first ever Illawarra region workshop this April.
The workshop will feature a variety of wonderful dance classes over three days with some amazing guest teachers.
In another first, one of the Conservatorium students, Datu Begley, has composed an original piece of music to which we will choreograph and showcase a brand new dance work. This will be premiered at the end of the workshop in a community concert.
This is set to be a truly original and inspiring workshop which we cannot wait to share with everyone.
World renowned ballet coach Vicki Attard will be giving an exclusive workshop masterclass as part of our time in the region. Other guest teachers will be announced shortly.
Dance styles included at the workshop will be ballet, pointe work, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, conditioning and musical theatre.
